The Beyond

Anchor Bay Entertainment’s Special Edition of Lucio Fulci’s masterpiece “The Beyond” contains two exciting hiden features that are entirely in line with the feature film presentation.

The first one can be found on the “Images from the Beyond” menu page. Highlight the “Menu” entry on the screen and then press the “Left” arrow key on your remote control and you will highlight the ominous Eibon symbol. Press “Enter” now and you will get to see a trailer for Lucio Fulci’s film “Cat In The Brain” – beware however, this trailer is extremely gruesome and gory, and absolutely nothing for the squeamish!

The second Easter Egg can be found in the “Audio Setup” page. Highlight the “Resume” menu entry at the bottom of the page and then press the “Left” arrow key on your remote control to highlight another Eibon symbol. This gives you access to the original opening of the 1981 US version of “The Beyond,” entitled “Seven Doors of Death” and with directorial credits to Louis Fuller, one of the pseudonyms Lucio Fulci used in the US.
