Jennie Finch, acclaimed softball pitcher and member of the 2004 U.S. gold medal softball team, hosts this intimate perspective on a behind-the-scenes peek at MLB’s greatest stars in the sports documentary, ’MLB Superstars Show You Their Game’. The DVD features a generous dose of personal fitness tips and tricks, as well as advice from some of the major talent playing in the MLB today featuring; Barry Bonds, Alex Rodriguez, Roger Clemens, Albert Pujols, Steve Finley, Larry Walker, Mike Piazza, Tony Gwynn, Cal Ripken Jr. and more. Topped off with baseball factoids that scroll along the bottom of the screen through portions of the program, you easily become immersed in the baseball trivia, while being entertained with some good nostalgic footage from past game highlights.
Shout Factory and Major League Baseball Productions present ’MLB Superstars Show You Their Game’. Presented in a 2.35:1 letterboxed-widescreen production that, due to its original video source, does tend to suffer from very minor video ailments in certain excerpts of the production, such as bleeding and smearing, but offers an overall pleasant viewing experience. Blacks are deep and nicely rendered, with balanced white levels that produce good detail throughout. Some over-saturation of color is noticed, but is not considered to be distracting in anyway.

Sound is presented in a Dolby Digital 2.0 track that provides this sports-documentary with ample bass and overall good balance, rendering a positive experience that will surly please any fan of this genre.

There are some good extras included in this DVD, in the form of Milestones, Great Performances and Big Hits, from such well known Major League Baseball players including; Roger Clemens, Albert Pujols, Ben Sheets, Mike Sweeney, Jimmy Rollins, Alex Rodriguez, Ivan Rodriguez and Barry Bonds. The footage includes honorable career highlights of the individual players featured, ranging in running times of five to twenty plus minutes, some of which is truly inspiring!

So grab a cold beer and while you’re at it, some freshly roasted peanuts, as you sit back and enjoy some great behind-the-game highlights of one of America’s favorite pastimes!
