Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment has taken it upon themselves to correct this oversight of the American public with a new DVD release of The Life and Times of Hank Greenberg this autumn.

As an extraordinary ball player, whose accomplishment’s rivaled those of Babe Ruth and Lou Gehrig, Greenberg’s career was an inspiration to all and captured the headlines and admiration of sportwriters and fans alike. “The Life and Times of Hank Greenberg ” is the humorous and nostalgic true story of how he became a beacon of hope as a true American hero.

“The Life and Times of Hank Greenberg” DVD contains commentary by director Aviva Kempner and Yiddish subtitles. Additionally, the disc features the original theatrical trailer, outtake interviews with Walter Matthau and Michael Moriarty, a comprehensive Hank Greenberg biography and baseball stats, and a still photo gallery.
