Paramount Home Entertainment has just released information about the upcoming release of writer/director J.J. Abrams’ (Star Trek) breathtaking adventure Super 8 to arrive on DVD and Blu-Ray Disc this November.

“Super 8” is the exhilarating story that follows a group of friends in a small Ohio town who witness a catastrophic train crash while making a super 8 movie.  When they realize that it was no accident, they set out to find the truth — something more shocking than any of them could have imagined.

The DVD version will feature an anamorphic widescreen transfer with Dolby Digital 5.1 audio. As extras you will find a
Commentary Track by writer/director J.J. Abrams, producer Bryan Burk and cinematographer Larry Fong on the disc. Also included are the Featurettes ”The Dream Behind Super 8” and ”The Visitor Lives”.

In high definition, the release arrives as a Blu-Ray Disc/DVD combo featuring a 1080p high def transfer with DTS 5.1 HD Master Audio. It contains the same bonus materials as the DVD version but will further elaborate on the film in Featurettes such as ”The Search for New Faces,” “Meet Joel Courtney,” “Rediscovering Steel Town,” “Scoring Super 8,” “Do You Believe in Magic?” and ”The 8mm Revolution”.

Also included is Deconstructing the Train Crash and a selection of Deleted Scenes.

This release also contains a Digital Copy of the movie.

“Super 8” will be in stores on November 22.
