MPI Entertainment has just announced a Blu-Ray version of The Complete Sherlock Holmes Collection, which is scheduled for release in March.

Featuring 14 movies on 5 discs, “The Complete Sherlock Holmes Collection” stars Basil Rathbone as the legendary Sherlock Holmes and Nigel Bruce as the venerable Dr. John H. Watson.

Twelve of these classic tales were painstakingly restored to their original theatrical condition by The UCLA Film and Television Archive. By combining old and new film elements, new 35mm masters were created to emulate the appearance and audio quality of a first-run motion picture. These restored versions also include war bond tags and the Universal Pictures logos that were removed from the original elements in the 1950s.

The set will include the movies “The Hound Of The Baskervilles,” “Adventures Of Sherlock Holmes,” “Sherlock Holmes And The Voice Of Terror,” “Sherlock Holmes And The Secret Weapon,” “Sherlock Holmes In Washington,” “Sherlock Holmes Faces Death,” “The Spider Woman,” “The Scarlet Claw,” “The Pearl Of Death,” “The House Of Fear,” “The Woman In Green,” “Pursuit To Algiers,” “Terror By Night” and “Dressed To Kill.”

The 5-disc Blu-Ray set will arrive on March 29 for $129.98.
