Daylight comes to Blu-Ray

Universal Home Entertainment has added Sylvester Stallone’s 1996 action drama Daylight to their high def line-up, scheduling the film for release on Blu-Ray in April.

Brace yourself for nonstop action and suspense! Sylvester Stallone races against time to lead a group of stranded commuters out of a collapsed tunnel 100 feet below the Hudson River, in director Rob Cohen’s “Daylight.” When an explosion seals off a commuter tunnel, the survivors are faced with toxic fumes, fires and the impending collapse of the tunnel. Their only hope lies in the hands of Kit Latura (Stallone), a former Emergency Medical Services chief who is haunted by a tragic past. As the walls cave in and the tunnel fills up with water, Latura risks his own life to save others and prevent the disaster from escalating into an even greater catastrophe. Amy Brenneman co-stars in this thrilling adventure. Filled with spectacular special effects and heart-pounding intensity, Daylight will have you holding your breath from start to finish.

Featuring a 1080p high definition transfer with DTS 5.1 HS Master Audio, the release will also include a Commentary Track by Director Rob Cohen, as well as The Making Of Daylight. Further you will find the “Whenever There is Love” Music Video on the disc, along with The “Daylight” Archives and Theatrical Trailers.

Arriving in stores on April 26 the film does not have an official price tag yet.
