Red Dragon arrives in high def this fall

Universal Home Entertainment has just added Red Dragon to their Blu-Ray line-up, scheduling the film for release in October.

After capturing Dr. Lector (Anthony Hopkins), FBI agent Will Graham (Edward Norton) retires-only to be called back to active duty to hunt down the elusive killer, The Tooth Fairy (Ralph Fiennes).

FEaturing a 1080p high definition trasnfer with DTS 5.1 HD Master audio sound, the disc will also contain a large number of bonus materials, such as a Commentary Track with Director Brett Ratner and Writer Ted Tally, and a Music Score Commentary with Composer Danny Elfman.

Also included are Deleted Scenes and a series of Featurettes, such as ”Lecter’s FBI File and Life History,” “Inside the Mind of a Serial Killer” hosted by John Douglas, along with ”Anthony Hopkins: Lecter and Me” and ”The Making of Red Dragon”.

Further you will find Brett Ratner’s Student Film on the disc, as well as a look at the Visual Effects and Screen and Film Tests.

The Burning Wheelchair and The Leeds’ House Crime Scene will also be included, accompanied by Storyboards to Final Feature Comparison.

“Red Dragon” is scheduled to make an appearance on October 12 for $26.98.
