Sony brings us A Single Man

Sony Pictures Home Entertainment has added A Single Man to their line-up, bringing the film to DVD and Blu-Ray Disc in July.

“A Single Man” is based on the novel of the same name by Christopher Isherwood. Set in Los Angeles in 1962, at the height of the Cuban missile crisis, it is the story of a British college professor (Colin Firth) who is struggling to find meaning to his life after the death of his long time partner. The story is a romantic tale of love interrupted, the isolation that is an inherent part of the human condition, and, ultimately, the importance of the seemingly smaller moments in life.

The DVD version of the release will feature a widescreen presentation of the film with a Dolby Digital 5.1 audio track. It will also feature a Commentary Track with Producer/Director Tom Ford, as well as The Making of A Single Man.

The Blu-Ray version is presented in a 1080p high definition transfer with high definition audio. It will also include the Commentary Track with Producer/Director Tom Ford, and The Making of A Single Man. In addition, this version will also feature Sony’s movieIQ Trivia Track.

“A Single Man” can be yours on July 6 for $27.96 on DVD and $34.95 on Blu-Ray Disc.
