Oscilloscope Laboratories has just announced the release of the Academy Award-nominated The Messenger, bringing the film to DVD and Blu-Ray Disc this may.

The film tells the story of Iraq War veteran Will Montgomery (Ben Foster) who is assigned to the Army’s casualty notification service and partnered with hard-line officer played by Woody Harrelson. Will ends up falling for the wife (Samantha Morton) of a dead soldier.

The DVD version will include a Commentary Track as well as Featurettes and a Documentary and a Q&A Session with cast and crew members.

The Blu-Ray version arrives as a combo disc, containing the high definition version of the film along with the DVD version and all of its bonus materials.

“The Messenger” arrives on May 18 for $29.98 on DVD and $34.98 on Blu-Ray Disc.
