Jack Brooks: Monster Slayer hunts for Christmas

Anchor Bay Entertainment has added a Blu-Ray Disc version of the horror comedy Jack Brooks: Monster Slayer to its roster, scheduling the film for a December release.

Ever since he watched monsters brutally slaughter his family during a childhood camping trip, local plumber Jack Brooks (Trevor Matthews) has had major anger management issues. But when a busted pipe disturbs an ancient evil, Jack will unwittingly unleash a force that transforms his kindly night school professor (Robert Freddy Krueger Englund) into a ravenous, tentacled, infectious beast from Hell. Even if Jack can no longer run from the demons of his past, can he at least hack them to pieces before they devour his entire class? Rachel Skarsten (Birds Of Prey) and James A. Woods co-star in this over the top international film festival sensation that Fangoria hails as a gore oozing homage to wild and crazy 80s horror!

The release will feature a 1080p high definition transfer that is complemented by a DTS 5.1 HD Master audio track. You will find all the extras from the previously released DVD version n the title, suc has a Commentary Track with Director Jon Knautz, Producer Patrick White, Producer/Actor Trevor Matthews and Composer Ryan Stone. Also included are Deleted Scenes and Storybaord comparisons as well as a series of Featurettes that include ”Behind The Scenes,” “World Premiere: Sitges, Spain,” “Creating The Music” and “Creating The Monsters”. Further you will find an On Set Still Gallery and a Conceptual Art Gallery on the disc, along with the movie’s Trailer.

“Jack Brooks: Monster Slayer” is slated for release on December 8 for $19.97.
