Universal may not have offered much in terms of supplements, but their releases of the first four seasons of Saturday Night Live have been meticulous to their original air releases. The fifth season – the final with the original cast – is coming in December.

The 1979-1980 season will contain all the episodes from the season, uncut with the original musical guests. This may be the final set from Universal, but perhaps next year we’ll see box sets of SNL ’80.
