20th Century Fox Home Entertainment is preparing their latest superhero flick X-Men Origins: Wolverine for release to DVD and Blu-Ray Disc later in the year.

Leading up to the events of X-Men, X-Men Origins: Wolverine tells the story of Wolverine’s epically violent and romantic past, his complex relationship with Victor Creed and the ominous Weapon X program. Along the way, Wolverine encounters many mutants, both familiar and new, including surprise appearances by several legends of the X-Men universe whose appearances in the film have long been anticipated.

The set will include audio commentary with Gavin Hood, the featurettes The Roots of Wolverine, Wolverine Unleashes, Wolverine Weapon X Mutant Files, The Thrill of the Chase and X Connect on the Set with Gavin Hood, a trivia track, deleted scenes and the world premiere. The Blu-Ray version will also carry BD-Live technology that will hook up with IMdB. A Digital Copy is included.

The film arrives on September 15 for $29.99 on single-disc DVD, $34.99 on Special Edition DVD and $39.99 on Blu-Ray Disc.
