Big news on Star Trek
The 2009 Star Trek film is coming this fall from Paramount, and it’s going to be quite a set.
Three versions of the home video are coming, a single disc and a double disc DVD and a three disc Blu-ray set. The single disc DVD comes with the film as well as an audio commentary with director J.J. Abrams, writers Robert Orci and Alex Kurtzman and producers Damon Lindelof and Bryan Burk, the featurette A New Vision and a gag reel. A two disc DVD will additionally include a digital copy of the film along with deleted scenes and the featurettes To Boldly Go, Casting, Aliens and Score, plus DVD Rom content including previews for the DAC game.
The Blu-ray will come on three discs, the first dics containing the film and comentary along with the BD-Live feature NASA News. The second disc contains the featurettes above as well as the aditional featurettes Planets, Props and Costumes, Ben Burtt and the Sounds of Star Trek and Gene Roddenberry’s Vision along with the deleted scenes and gag reel. a 3D tour of the ships is also available. The third disc contains the digital copy and trailers for Star Trek D-A-C for X-Box, PC and PS3.
The discs all arrive on November 17th, 2009.
