In 2001, Disney claimed Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs would dissappear from DVD for ten years. Well, it’s been eight. Close enough. But the new news is that before the film comes to DVD it will come to Blu-ray… and DVD.

Confused? The Platinum edition Blu-ray is scheduled to arrive on October 6th; several weeks before the standard DVD release. Like Pinocchio and Sleeping Beauty however, the Blu-ray will come with a standard DVD included. So anyone looking to pick up the standard version can get it a little early.
