After living a short life on HD-DVD, Universal Home Entertainment is finally bringing the Jim Carrey comedy Bruce Almighty to Blu-Ray Disc also.

Comic genius Jim Carrey stars with Jennifer Aniston and Morgan Freeman in the entertaining comedy hit in which Bruce Nolan (Jim Carrey) is a TV reporter who believes the entire universe is stacked against him. In a life-altering encounter, the Big Guy Upstairs (Morgan Freeman) endows Bruce with all of His divine powers and challenges Bruce to take on the big job to see if he can do it any better.

The release will offer up a 1080p high definition transfer of the movie with a DTS 5.1 HD Master Lossless audio track. You will find the same extras on this disc as on the previous incarnations, namely a Commentary Track by director Tom Shadyac and a large selection of Deleted Scenes and Outtakes. Also included is the Featurette ”The Process of Jim”, giving you a glimpse inside the Creative Mind of Jim Carrey.

The Blu-Ray version of “Bruce Almighty” will enter this stratosphere on June 2 for $29.98.
