Prepare yourself of X-Men on Blu-Ray

20th Century Fox Home Entertainment is unleashing the Storm and Wolverine in high definition this April, releasing both X-Men and X-Men 2: X-Men United to Blu-Ray Disc.

In X-Men, born into a world filled with prejudice are children who possess extraordinary and dangerous powers — the result of unique genetic mutations. Cyclops unleashes bolts of energy from his eyes. Storm can manipulate the weather at will. Rogue absorbs the life force of anyone she touches. But under the tutelage of Professor Xavier (Patrick Stewart), those and other outcasts learn to harness their powers for the good of mankind. Now they must protect those who fear them as the nefarious Magneto (Ian McKellen), who believes humans and mutants can never co-exist, unveils his sinister plan for the future!

Coming as a 2-disc set, the film will be presented in 1080p high definition from newly struck masters and will also feature a DTS 5.1 HD Master Lossless Audio track. Pretty much all of the bonus materials form the previous Special Edition DVD version will be included on the release, except for the DVD-ROM features.

In X-Men 2: X-Men United the world is on the brink of collapse when following a shocking attack on the President, the X-Men must stand united with their deadliest enemies to combat a menace that threatens every mutant on the planet – and possibly all of mankind.

The film will also arrive as a 2-disc set featuring a 1080p high definition transfer and DTS 5.1 HD Master Lossless Audio track. Once again all the bonus materials from the Special Edition DVD will be carried over, except for the DVD-ROM features.

As an exclusive new BD Live Feature on the releases, viewers will actually be able to purchase a movie ticket for the upcoming X-Men Origins: Wolverine through their Blu-Ray Player and also watch a preview scene from the anticipated movie.

Both films will be in stores on April 21 with a suggested retail price of $34.99 each, which is a new low price point for Fox releases.
