New music releases hit DVD and Blu-Ray Disc from Eagle Rock

“How about some cool music for your home theater? “asks Eagle Rock Entertainment. The studio has just added a number of very cool titles to their release line-up, scheduling them for March.

The party starts with Irish guitar legend Rory Gallagher: Live In Cork on March 17, showing the late virtuoso at the Opera House in Cork in 1987. This exciting homecoming event was captured by Irish Television and is now being released.  An absolute treasure for fans, this DVD features not only the concert, but some stellar bonus material. “Rough Guide To Rory’s Cork” gets close and personal with Gallagher, featuring footage of his hometown, photos, memorabilia, and anecdotes. There is also another short documentary called “Big Guns” and a comprehensive discography. It can be yours for only $14.98.

Next up comes Asia: Fantasia – Live in Tokyo arriving on Blu-Ray Disc, showcasing the band’s 2007 Tokyo show during their 25th Anniversary Tour. Featuring the band’s original lie-up, consisting of Geoff Downes (keyboards; Yes), Steve Howe (guitars; Yes), Carl Palmer (drums; Emerson, Lake, & Palmer), and John Wetton (vocals and bass; King Crimson), this release can be yours for $24.98 when it hit retail stores on March 31.

New Queen-frontman Paul Rodgers comes also to Blu-Ray Disc, Live In Glasgow. There are always new and notable accomplishments for Paul Rodgers since he started his career with Free in 1968. The 70’s brought Bad Company. In the 90’s, Rodgers second solo album, which featured Brian May of Queen, was nominated for a Grammy.  He later re-joined May and the rest of Queen as their frontman for their first tour since the passing of Freddie Mercury, an association that continues to this day. On an Autumn night in 2006, Paul performed an array of songs from his long and illustrious career, including “All Right Now”, “Bad Company” “Can’t Get Enough Of Your Love”, “Wishing Well”, and “Feel Like Making Love.” The Blu-Ray Disc will be in stores on March 31 for $24.98 also.

Another phenomenal guitar voice is coming to DVD and Blu-Ray Disc when Jeff Beck is showing off his chops. Performing This Week – Live At Ronnie Scott’s this is the first concert video of the legendary guitarist, who has had a limitless career for over 40 years, stretching genres and consistently bringing the guitar to new levels. Beck is joined on stage by Joss Stone, Imogen Heap, and Beck’s former Yardbird’s bandmate, Eric Clapton. The Blu-Ray Disc version installment includes an exclusive 7-track rockabilly set. You can own the DVD for $14.98 or the Blu-Ray Disc for $24.98 when it arrives on March 31.
