Sony fights the G-Virus in Resident Evil: Degeneration

Sony Pictures Home Entertainment has just added the computer-generated feature film Resident Evil: Degeneration to their release line-up on DVD and Blu-Ray Disc.

A zombie attack brings chaos to Harvardville Airport. Leon S. Kennedy and Claire Redfield, former special forces members during the Raccoon City tragedy 7 years ago, are back. In high-octane Resident Evil style, they’re ready to battle a rogue warrior who is seeking revenge after his family was killed in Raccoon City. The deadly G-Virus is unleashed and a new mutated monster goes on the rampage. Will Claire and Leon be able to terminate the virus before history repeats itself?

The DVD version will offer up an anamorphic transfer with Dolby Digital 5.1 audio. As extras you will the Featurette “The Generation of Degeneration” on the disc, as well as Character Profiles, Voice Bloopers and a Leon Interview. Also included are a series of Trailers as well as the film’s trailer from the Tokyo Game Show. Lastly, prepare yourself also for Resident Evil 5 Special Footage.

The Blu-Ray version will offer a 108p high definition transfer with high definition audio. In addition to all the DVD’s bonus materials, this version will also include some additional extras, such as a Picture-in-picture Track and a Pop-up Trivia Track.

“Resident Evil: Degeneration” arrives on location on December 30 for $27.98 on DVD, and $39.95 on Blu-Ray Disc. A UMD version for your PSP will also be released on the same day for $24.94.
