Tropic Thunder rolls in in November

Dreamworks Home Entertainment and Paramount Home Entertainment have added the comedy Tropic Thunder to their November line-up.

Through a series of freak occurrences, a group of actors shooting a big-budget war movie are forced to become the soldiers they are portraying.

“Tropic Thunder” will arrive in three different versions, one of them a single-disc release featuring the R-rated Theatrical Cut, the second one an Unrated Director’s Cut as a 2-disc DVD with 14 minutes of additional footage.

The single disc version will contain only a Commentary Track with Ben Stiller, Robert Downey Jr. and Jack Black. The 2-disc version on the other hand, contains a Commentary Track with Ben Stiller, Robert Downey Jr. and Jack Black, as well as a Second Commentary with crew members Ben Stiller, Justin Theroux, producer Stuart Cornfeld, production designer Jeff Mann, cinematographer John Toll and editor Greg Hayden. Also included are Introductions by Ben Stiller and Editor Greg Hayden and Deleted and Extended Scenes as well as an Alternate Ending.

Also look for some 7 Featurettes on the production of the movie, as well as full “Rain of Madness” Mockumentary previously available on iTunes only.

The film’s Blu-Ray version will offer up a 1080p transfer and supplement it with a Dolby Digital 5.1 TrueHD audio track. The version will include all the extras found on the 2-disc DVD version.

“Tropic Thunder” makes some noise on November 18 and can be yours for $24.99 on single-disc DVD, $29.99 as the 2-disc Special Edition or $39.99 on Blu-Ray.
