The X-Files is Blu all over

It was announced recently that The X-Files: I Want to Believe would be coming to DVD and Blu-ray, but now full details come on the movie as well as The X Files: Fight The Future from Fox.

I Want to Believe will come on DVD in a standard single disc release and a three disc release. The single disc will carry the film in both its theatrical and unrated versions, an audio commentary, the featurettes Body Parts: Special Make-up Effects and Chris Carter: Statements on Green Production, deleted scenes, a gag reel, trailers and art galleries. Pretty impressive for the single-disc version. The three disc version will also include the documentary Trust No One: Can The X-Files Remain a Secret? and a Digital copy of the film. The Blu-ray marks Fox’s first foray into the BD-Live arena, and they’re putting everything into it. A web-enabled game, an interactive timeline, picture in pipcture, an isolated score and more.

Fight The Future will also be pretty feature laden on Blu-ray. An audio commentary and picture in picture commentary are included with three new featurettes The Making of The X-Files: Fight the Future, Visual Effects and Scoring plus the featurette from the DVD rlease, a gag reel, an alternate scene, trailers art galleies and multiple viewing options.

All discs will arrive on the same day on December 2nd. A two pack of the films on Blu-ray will also be available. Does this mean the series will follow on Blu-ray as well? I Want to Believe.
