Sony Pictures Home Entertainment just added a DVD and Blu-Ray Disc version of This Christmas to their release line-up.

This year Christmas with the Whitfields promises to be one they will never forget. All the siblings have come home for the first time in years and they’ve brought plenty of baggage with them. As the Christmas tree is trimmed and the lights are hung, secrets are revealed and family bonds are tested. As their lives converge, they join together and help each other discover the true meaning of family.

Featuring the original 2.40:1 widescreen presentation of the movie, the DVD version will also include a Dolby Digital audio track. In terms of extras you will find a Commentary Track with Regina King, Sharon Leal and Lauren London on the disc, as well as Deleted and Extended Scenes. Further the Chris Brown Music Video will be included, along with Preston A. Whitmore Introduces the Cast and Crew.

The Blu-Ray version will feature a 1080p high definition transfer and contain a number of additional language tracks but will otherwise be identical to the DVD release.

“This Christmas” arrives in stores on November 11 for $28.98 on DVD and $38.98 on Blu-Ray – a little steep in my opinion for a movie filled with no-names, but so be it.
