From what we hear, Warner Home Video has an all-new I Am Legend: Ultimate Collector’s Edition in the making for Blu-Ray Disc.

The last man on earth is not alone. Will Smith portrays that lone survivor in I Am Legend, the action epic fusing heart pounding excitement with a mind blowing vision of a desolated Manhattan.

Somehow immune to an unstoppable, incurable virus, military virologist Robert Neville (Smith) is now the last human survivor in New York City and maybe the world. But he is not alone. Mutant plague victims lurk in the shadows…watching Neville’s every move…waiting for him to make a fatal mistake. Perhaps mankind’s last, best hope, Neville is driven by only one remaining mission: to find an antidote using his own immune blood. But he knows he is outnumbered…and quickly running out of time.

Coming as a 2-disc set this new release will contain the movie’s Theatrical Version on one disc in 1080p high definition with Dolby TrueHD audio in English, as well as Dolby Digital 51. tracks in English, French and Spanish. A Commentary Trackby director Francis Lawrence and producer/screenwriter Akiva Goldsmith will accompany this version of the film. Also included on this disc are the Documentaries “I Am Legend” and “Cautionary Tale: The Science of I Am Legend.” The four Animated comics from the previous release are also included, as well as the film’s Theatrical Trailer.. a Focus Points In-Movie Experience will also be found on this disc.

On the second disc of the release you will find an Alternate Cut of the movie, complemented by Deleted Scenes and the FeaturettesDigital Copy of the movie will round out this release.

“I Am Legend: Ultimate Collector’s Edition” arrives on December 9 with a $59.95 suggested retail price. It will come in a special packaging that also includes a 44-page Booklet and Collectible Art Cards.
