In 2006, Paramount announced they were remastering Star Trek for the high definition age. The results were beautifully remastered footage. Now the third, and final, season of the series is coming to DVD with a great deal of extras, but dissapointingly, still not available in the high def it was intended for.

Specifics were not included on the extras, but the set will likely contain all the features from the original DVD box set along with the features from the Best Buy bonus disc. Additional features may also be included.

Look for the set to arrive on November 18th with all the remastered episodes and new effects from the 1968-1969 season. Now we’ll just have to wait for the Blu-Ray versions.
