Speed Racer is coming to DVD and Blu-ray with some decent features from Warner Home Entertainment. The Blu-ray however, will be an interesting release.

Both versions will include a making of featurette and a look at the various cars from the film. The Blu-ray set will come with two additional discs, but not filled with traditional extras. The second disc will be used entirely for a set top game which can be played through your Blu-ray player and the third disc will contain a digital copy of the film. For the technically minded, the film will be presented in 1080p VC-1 and Dolby TrueHD.

Both versions will cross the finish line on September 16th. Hopefully, more Wachowski films will follow.
