Q adds special features to Bond

The recent announcement of six Bond titles coming to Blu-ray is certainly good news and it appears Sony and MGM are making good on the quality of these jewels. Each title will be the restored version in 1080p AVC with DTS 5.1 Master Audio. Features below.

Dr. No will contain an audio commentary with director Terency Young and others, and the featurettes Licence to Restore, Declassified: M16 Vault, Premiere Bond, 007 Mission Control, Inside Dr. No, Terence Young: Bond Vivant and the original 1963 feturette along with original trailers, TV and radio spots and a photo gallery.

From Russia With Love will also carry audio commentary with Young and the featurettes Ian Fleming: The CBC Interview, Ian Fleming and Raymond Chandler, Ian Fleming on Desert Island Discs, Inside From Russia With Love and Harry Saltzman: Showman, plus an animated storyboard sequence, an interactive guide and trailers, TV Spots, a photo gallery and radio spots.

Thunderball features an audio commentary with Young, a second audio commentary with Peter Hunt, John Hopkins and others, the 1965 NBC Television Special, the featurettes A Child’s Guide to Blowing up a Motor Car, Bill Suitor: The Rocket Man Movies, The Making of Thunderball, The Thunderball Phenomenon and The Secret History of Thunderball, plus the boat show reel, the Selling Bonds television advertisements, an interactive guide and the trailers, spots and photo gallery.

Live and Let Die brings an audio commentary with Sir Roger Moore, a commentary with Guy Hamilton and a third commentary with Tom Mankiewicz, a 1973 documentay, the featurettes Roger Moore ad James Bond, Circa 1964, Insidte Live and Let Die and On the Set with Roger Moore, conceptual art, an interactive guide, trailers, TV and radio spots and a photo gallery.

For Your Eyes Only features another trio of commentaries; one with Roger Moore, one with John Glen and actors and one with Michael G Wilson and crew. Also included are deleted scenes and expanded angles, the featurettes Bond in Greece, Bond in Cortina, Neptune’s Journey and Inside For Your Eyes Only, an interactive guide, animated storyboards, Sheena Easton’s music video and trailers, tv and radio spots and a photo gallery.

Die Another Day had an audio commentary with Lee Tamahori and Michael G. Wilson alongside a second commentary with Pierce Brosnan and Rosamund Pike, the featurettes From Script to Screen, Shaken and Stirred on Ice, Just Another Day, The British Touch: Bond Arrives in London and On Location with Peter Lamont, an interactive guide, an MI6 DataStream, DVD-ROM content, the Madonna music video and a photo gallery.

All six titles will be available seperately on October 21st as well as in two 3-packs (one containing Dr. No, Die Another Day and Live and Let Die, and one containing From Russia With Love, Thunderball and For Your Eyes Only). The individual releases will each contain a ticekt to see Quantum of Solace while the 3-packs will carry two tickets.
