Many high capacity Blu-ray discs have been created in various labs, but Pioneer’s new 400Gb disc has the notable distinction that it conforms to the current Blu-ray spec and theoretically can play in current Blu-ray players. Of course a lot of testing and replication needs to happen before the discs would make it to market, but this is certainly an enticing development.
