Whenever a film is made of a classic television series, you can expect a new DVD release of that show to follow soon. So is the case with the complete Speed Racer coming to DVD from Lionsgate.

The complete series will contain all 52 episodes from the series, (currently available in various forms on DVD seperately) along with a new bonus disc containing new extras for the series including the featurette The History of Speed Racer, a look at Speed Racer: The Next Generation and an episode of the later series.

The set will be priced at $49.98 when it arrives on October 7th in a Mach 5 themed box.
