Warner has announced paistakingly restored DVDs of two American Classics; An American in Paris and Gigi set for release later this year on DVD, and on Blu-ray early in 2009.

An American in Paris has been remastered for DVDand will contain a large slate of extras includin a 1938 Short, a 1951 caroon, the trailer, a 2002 documentary on Gene Kelly, the documentary ‘S Wonderful, outtakes, radio interviews, audio outtakes and an alternate main title sequence.

Gigi turns 50 and the new DVD contains a short and a cartoon as well as a theatrical trailer and a making of doudmentary.

The Blu-ray specs are yet to come, but will likely carry the same supplements as the DVD releases. The DVDs arrive on September 16th, with a slightly longer wait for Blu-ray.
