The Cottage arrives in May

Veteran character actor Andy Serkis has battled Orcs in “The Lord of the Rings” and the United States Armed Forces in “King Kong, ” but he meets his most formidable challenge — a psychopathic farmer — in the dark horror comedy, The Cottage, which is slated for release on DVD in May.
.
Forced into hiding after their kidnapping plan goes awry, two rival siblings, David (Andy Serkis) and Peter (Reece Shearsmith) find themselves fighting for their sanity while they hole up in a secluded country cottage. Weighed down by a hostage who refuses to stay quiet, they quickly find themselves held captive by their own victim. But everyone’s problems go from bad to worse when they come face-to-face with their psychotic axe-wielding neighbor – a demented farmer with a dark, nasty secret buried where you’d least expect it.

The DVD will feature an anamorphic widescreen transfer of the movie with a variety of Dolby Digital 5.1 language tracks.

As extras you will find Deleted Scenes on the release as well as Outtakes and a Storyboard Gallery. The disc will also contain a bonus digital copy of the film, allowing viewers to unlock a portable copy of the movie to play on their PC and PSP® (Playstation Portable) System.

“The Cottage” will be in stores on May 13 for $24.96.
