The family adventure The Water Horse: Legend of the Deep is coming to a two-disc special edition DVD and a Blu-ray in April.

When a lonely young boy named Angus discovers a large, mysterious egg along the shores of Loch Ness, no one is prepared for what lies within. He soon discovers, that the strange, mischievous hatchling inside is none other than The Water Horse, the loch’s most mysterious and fabled creature. But with the Water Horse growing ten times its size every day, Angus finds it increasingly difficult to keep his new friend a secret.

The DVD will come loaded with featurettes including Creating Crusoe, Myths and Legends, Setting the Scene, The Characters, The Story andWater Work: Creating the Water Horse. Deleted scenes are also on the disc which contains widescreen and fullscreen versions of the film. The Blu-ray (which will only be widescreen) will also carry a virtual game.

Both will arrive on April 8th and will carry a suggested retail price of $28.96 and $38.96 respectively.
