Saturday Night Live finally got full season box sets in 2006 and they were complete and well restored. But they came very slowly. Universal has upped the release schedule announcing the third season of the series will be released in May.

Just like the first two seasons, the set will arrive as a seven disc set with a collectible booklet in a nice bound book-like box. Unlike the first two seasons, the set will also arrive in a limited edition box, which the good folks over at tvshowsondvd.com have discovered will contain the box set along with postcards. It’s a shame Universal tried to create this packaging for the third season.

Both sets will arrive on May 13th, and surprisingly both will be priced at $59.98.
