Ratatouille

On Buena Vista Home Entertainment’s release of Pixar’s fantastic “Ratatouille” the studio has also included some hidden features for fans to uncover.

From the DVD’s Main Menu highlight the “Set Up” menu entry and then wait for Remy, the rat to appear near the pot on the stove. Now, press the “Up” arrow key on your remote control and an icon will appear on the pot. Press the “Enter” key now and you will see an 11-second publicity clip for rat poison.

The other hidden feature can be found when you highlight the menu entry “Bonus Features” on the Main Menu. Once again, wait until Remy appears near the pot on the stove and then press the “Up” arrow key on your remote control. Now press “Enter” and you will be treated to a 1-minute video clip about alternative titles for the movie and a quick lesson on how to pronounce its name.

From the DVD’s Main Menu go to the “Scene Selections.” Once there go to the page for scenes 1 – 4 and then highlight the flower on the wedding cake using the directional keys on your remote control. Once you highlight it and press “Enter” you will get to see a clip by Patton Oswalt about all the “Yes!”-takes in the movie, because director Brad Bird hates them.

In the page with the selection for scenes 17 – 20 once again highlight the flower on the wedding cake. It will give you access to a clip about the culinary training the animators went through.
