The recent special Family Guy Presents: Blue Harvest which ran on Fox was followed by the announcement by Fox that the episode would not be rerun or put on Fox’s online site, presumably for an upcoming DVD release. Well, here it is. Blue HArvest is coming to DVD.

The laughs come full Force when the Griffin clan puts a freakin’ sweet spin on the greatest sci-fi saga ever told! With Peter playing the swashbuckling Han Solo, Lois as the sexy Princess Leia, Chris as an adolescent Luke Skywalker, Brian as a well-spoken Chewbacca, and Stewie finally embracing his dark side as Darth Vader, who knows what will happen.

The DVD will come with four minutes of new footage, an uncensored audio track, animatics, audio commentaries, interviews with Seth MacFarlane and George Lucas and a teaser for the next Family Guy Star Wars Spoof Something, Something, Something Dark Side.

A special edition will also come with collectible packaging, a 3-D fight scene with 3-D glasses, a t-shirt, some trading cards and a brochure.

Both arriving on January 15th, the set will be priced at $22.98 for the DVD and $34.99 for the collector’s box.
