The Criterion Collection version of the John Woo thriller The Killer is long out of print, replaced with several sub par releases, but Genius Entertainment is hoping to change that with a new remastered DVD of the film later this year.

The film will be presented in anamorphic widescreen and its original Dolby Surround 2.0 Cantonese audio with option English subtitles. An audio commentary with Woo and Terrance Change are included with some deletes scenes, trailers and featurettes.

Sound fun. The new DVD has a suggested retail price of $24.99. And arrives on November 6th. Let’s hope Hard Boiled follows soon.
