Ray Harryhausen comes as a DVD gift set and in high definition

Fans of classic horror camp rejoice! Sony Pictures Home Entertainment is releasing remastered releases of three Ray Harryhausen films to home video this December including It Came From Beneath the Sea, Earth vs. The Flying Saucer, and 20 Million Miles to Earth: 50th Anniversary Edition. Each release will include both the original black-and-white and newly colorized versions of the films – viewers will even be able to toggle between the two versions on the fly.

All three films will be included in a 6-disc DVD collection called the Ray Harryhausen In Color Gift Set boxed with a collectible Ymir figurine based on a 1957 design by Harryhausen himself. In addition, “20 Million Miles to Earth: 50th Anniversary Edition” will be released on Blu-Ray Disc. Each film will feature new, exclusive Commentary Tracks with Harryhausen and other visual effects specialists, multiple Featurettes, and various Photo Galleries.

The “Ray Harryhausen In Color Gift Set” hits stores on December 4 and will cost $59.99. The Blu-ray release of “20 Million Miles to Earth: 50th Anniversary Edition” will be released day-and-date for $28.95 in 1080p high definition.
