New Line Home Entertainment has recently acquired the home video rights to director Leon Ichaso’s biopic, El Cantante and plan a DVD release in October.

The film, starring Marc Anthony as the “King of Salsa” legend Hector Lavoe, and Jennifer Lopez as his wife, Puchi, the film is a look at the life, career and fall of the two as they reigned the Salsa scene in New York City during the 1970s.

The DVD will also include a Commentary Track by director Leon Ichaso, as well as a Making Of Featurette and additional Behind-The-Scenes Footage.

Look for “El Cantate” on October 30 at a store near you.
