Finally, Anchor Bay’s Blu-Ray specs have arrived!

Although announced some time ago, Anchor Bay Entertainment had held its cards close to the chest as to exactly what bonus materials and specs their upcoming initial Blu-Ray line-up will contain. Finally, the silence is broken and here is a look at these detail for you.

All releases will come on BD-50 dual-layer Blu-Ray Discs that feature a 1080p MPEG-4 transfer and uncompressed 5.1 PCM audio tracks, as well as additional audio mixes.

Dawn of the Dead will contain an Audio Commentary with Writer/Director George A. Romero, Special Make-up Effects Artist Tom Savini, Assistant Director Chris Romero and DVD Producer Perry Martin on the disc, as well as a Fast Film Facts trivia track. Also included is the “The Dead Will Walk” Featurette, On-Set Home Movies and the Monroeville Mall Tour. The release is rounded out by a variety of Trailers, TV Spots and Radio Spots alongside the Monroeville Mall Commercial.

Day Of The Dead features a Audio Commentary with Writer/Director George A. Romero, Special Make-up Effects Artist Tom Savini, Production Designer Cletus Anderson, and Actress Lori Cardille, as well as an additional Commentary Track with Filmmaker Roger Avary and a Fast Film Facts trivia track. Also included is the “The Many Days of Day of the Dead” Featurette, some Behind The Scenes Footage and an Audio Interview with Richard Liberty. The disc will also contain Trailers, TV Spots, Radio Spots and the Gateway Commerce Center Promo.

Evil Dead II comes complete with a Commentary Track with Writer/Director Sam Raimi, Star Bruce Campbell, Co-Writer Scott Spiegel and Special Make-up Effects Artist Greg Nicotero as well as a Fast Film Facts trivia track. Also look for the ”Evil Dead II: Behind The Screams” Featurette, as well as the Featurette, “The Gore The Merrier” and the movie’s Theatrical Trailer.

Halloween features a Commentary Track with Writer/Director John Carpenter, Actress Jamie Lee Curtis, and Producer Debra Hill and also a Fast Film Facts trivia track. The Featurette “Halloween: A Cut Above The Rest” is also included, as are Trailers, TV Spots, and Radio Spots.

Masters Of Horror: Volume 1 features “Cigarette Burns,” “Dreams In The Witch House,” and “Fair Haired Child,” accompanied by their respective Commentary Tracks. No other bonus materials will be included.

Masters Of Horror: Volume 1 contains the episodes “Jennifer,” “Sick Girl” and “Deer Woman,” once again, each accompanied by its respective Commentary Track and without any additional extras.

All discs will carry a $29.97 suggested retail price when they hit retail stores on October 2 and October 16, respectively.
