Unconscious awakens on DVD this summer

Independent DVD studios Regent Releasing is getting ready to release the Sundance and HBO Award winning gem, Unconscious on DVD this July.

The film is a whimsical period comedy that questions sexual taboo when Alma, played by the beautiful Leonor Watling, goes in search of her missing husband. Her travels take her from one adventure to the next, finally landing her in front of the famous Dr. Sigmund Freud himself. When the Good Doctor explains how the world is dictated by people’s unconscious desires, Alma questions the very nature of her love, her life and her future. Also starring Luis Tosar, one Spain’s best actors, this film is a rich and entertaining gem that has been hailed by critics everywhere.

The DVD will contain a Behind-the-scenes Photo Gallery as well as a Featurette giving you a look into the whacky mind of Sigmund Freud – the godfather of Taboo. A Commentary featuring psychiatrist Edward Shafranski is also included on the disc, as well as a series of Freud Web Links.

“Unconscious” will be available on July 24 and can be yours for $19.95.
