One of the first computer animated features to break out of children’s fare, Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within will get a chance to showcase its animation again with a Blu-Ray release from Sony Pictures Home Entertainment.

The film will get a 1080p transfer and PCM 5.1 sound and the features from the original DVD includin featurettes, commentaries, trailers and a photo gallery. Possibly missing from the disc is the complete dream sequence from the film as a seperate feature.

The Blu-Ray arrives on August 7th for $28.95.
