Anchor Bay Home Entertainment is continuing their Masters OF Horror series of releases in July with Stuart Gordon’s second season entry The Black Cat.

Starring horror icon Jeffrey Combs in an electrifying performance, “The Black Cat” is an elegant and a stylish thriller that propels the eclectic series into the unchartered realm of biographic speculation. Just what motivated the great horror writer Edgar Allan Poe to write such ghoulish stories and poems?

The DVD will feature an anamorphic widescreen transfer of the episode and contain a number of bonus materials, such as a Commentary Track with director Stuart Gordon and actor Jeffrey Combs. Also included is the Featurettes “The Tell-Tale Cat: The Making of The Black Cat” and “Bringing Down The Axe” covering the movie’s special effects.

The release will be rounded out by a Photo Gallery and the episode’s ScriptJuly 17 for $14.98.
