Living with The Essentials

Back in the early days of DVD, before The Matrix became the DVD to end all DVDs, just about every early adopter to the format had a flimsy cardboard case with Video Essentials. Finally, that DVD has been replaced with Digital Video Essentials: HD-DVD, whose title at least implies a Blu-Ray version is in the works as well.

The HD-DVD comes with tests in both 720p and 1080p without conversion. All materials have been encoded with the VC-1 codec.

Suggested retail on this disc from DVD International is $34.95, but an actual release date is still being worked out.
