The Last King Of Scotland arrives in April

Celebrating Forest Whitaker’s Academy Award, the stunning movie The Last King Of Scotland arrives on DVD this April courtesy of 20th Century Fox Home Entertainment.

As Ugandan dictator Idi Amin, Forest Whitaker gives his Oscar’awarded performance in this incredible story as seen through the eyes of Nicholas Garrigan (James McAvoy), a young Scotsman who becomes the volatile leader’s personal physician, due in part to Amin’s unexpected passion for Scottish culture – Amin even proclaims himself “The Last King of Scotland”. Seduced by Amin’s charisma and blinded by decadence, Garrigan’s dream life becomes a waking nightmare of betrayal and madness from which there is no escape. Inspired by real people and events, this gripping, suspenseful stunner is filled with performances you will never forget.

The DVD will feature an anamorphic widescreen transfer of the film with 5.1 channel Dolby Digital audio, complemented by a Commentary Track and 7 Deleted Scenes. Further the release will include the Documentary “Capturing Idi Amin” to take you behind the scenes of the film.

“The Last King Of Scotland” will be in stores on April 17 with a $29.98 sticker price.
