No one died in the DVD release of Blood Diamond

Warner Home Video is releaseing three versions of the recent controversial film Blood DIamond on DVD this spring.

An ex-mercenary turned smuggle. A Mende fisherman. Amid the explosive civil war overtaking 1999 Sierra Leone, these men join for two desperate missions: recovering a rare pink diamond of immense value and rescuing the fisherman’s son, conscripted as a child soldier into the brutal rebel forces ripping a swath of torture and bloodshed across the alternately beautiful and ravaged countryside.

The film will be available in both anamorphic widescreen and fullscreen single disc editions, which will also contain an audio commtary with director Edward Zwick. A two disc version will also be available in widescreen with several featurettes on the second disc.

Look for it on March 20th with a suggested retail price of $28.98 for the single disc and $34.99 for the double disc versions.
