Warner brings the 1951 version Captain Horatio Hornblower to DVD

Warner Home Video has just announced details about a DVD version of the 1951 movie Captain Horatio Hornblower, which is slated for release in March.

Screen legend Gregory Peck brings to life C.S. Forester’s classic nautical hero, Horatio Hornblower. Hornblower battles the French and the Spanish forces during the Napoleonic wars, but also finds time for romance in this story from director Raoul Walsh.

The DVD will feature the movie in its original fullframe aspect ratio and be accompanied by its original mono audio track. It will be a bare-bones disc without any extras but will present the 117 minute movie on a dual-layer disc for best possible quality.

“Captain Horatio Hornblower” will be available on March 6 for $19.98.
