Universal Home Entertainment announced plans this week to bring the Owen Wilson comedy You, Me And Dupree to DVD and HD-DVD this November.

Starring Owen Wilson, Matt Dillon, Kate Hudson and Michael Douglas the film tells the story of newlyweds Carl and Molly Peterson for whom life can’t get any sweeter as they begin anew to settle down into married life. With a nice house and established careers in tow, nothing seems to get in their way. However, Carl is about find out just how much friendship means when Randy Dupree, his best friend has been displaced from his home and fired from his job because of attending their wedding. Taking his friend in, what Carl and Molly are about to experience is that the fine line between a few days and whatever else is after, can be a lot more than they bargained for. Especially when their friend overstays his welcome in far too many ways than he should.

No specific details have been announced for the release, other than that the HD-DVD version will be a HD-DVD/DVD combo featuring the high definition version of the movie on one side and the DVD version on the flip side.

“You, Me And Dupree” will come to a store near you on November 21 with a $29.98 price tag for the DVD version and a $39.98 price for the HD-DVD version.
