Some High Definition treats from Warner

Warner Home Entertainment has announces a new batch of high definition titles for release in the coming months with some good titles to show off the format, and a few new goodies.
Batman Begins, The Polar Express, Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and Tim Burton’s Corpse Bride are on the way in HD-DVD format set to arrive on October 10th.

For whatever reason, Tim Burton’s films seem to be getting high definition treatments from various studios, which is fine in my book, so here’s hoping we will see a great new version of “Mars Attacks!” soon.

Burton’s “Charlie And The Chocolate Factory” and Christopher Nolan’s “Batman Begins” will offer Warner’s In-Movie Experience feature, adding some new video commentary on the films. In addition, all HD-DVD versions will feature the special features found on their DVD counterparts. Each of the HD-DVD titles will be priced at $28.99

Also scheduled for October 10 are two new Blu-Ray titles from Warner. Syriana and 16 Blocks will complement their HD-DVD counterparts in blu-Ray editions. These Blu-Ray release will be priced at $28.99.
