Monster House gets formats galore

Monster House is the spooky, thrilling and clever story of two young boys,
D.J. and Chowder, who find that their neighbor Horace Nebbercracker is a
little more than a grouchy old man. Everyone thought that D.J. had a
particularly overactive imagination as he was convinced that his hagard and
crabby neighbor Horace Nebbercracker was responsible for Mrs.
Nebbercracker’s mysterious disappearance. Any toy that touches
Nebbercraker’s property promptly dissappears, swallowed up by the cavernous
house in which Horace lives. D.J. has seen it with his own eyes! But no one
believes him, not even his best friend, Chowder. Everyone slowly discovers
that D.J. is not imagining things. Everything he’s seen is absolutely true
and it’s about to get much worse than anything D.J. could have imagined.

The movie is coming to UMD, DVD and Blu-Ray this fall. The UMD will, as always, be featurless, but the other formats will include seven featurettes, multi-angle views of the development of the film, an audio commentary, an art gallery and DVD-ROM content.

The UMD and DVD will both be available for $28.95, with the DVD available in both widescreen and fullscreen versions. The Blu-Ray will carry the slightly higher $38.95 pricetage when all versions are released on October 24th – Just in time for Halloween.
