It seems September 11th has become safe for movie topics these days, director Wim Wenders – best known for Wings of Desire – has tackled the American experience with his new film Land of Plenty coming to DVD this fall from Genius Products.

Using the streets of Downtown Los Angeles as the backdrop, the film is a darkly humorous and powerful exploration of post-9/11 America. John Diehl and Michelle Williams are each firmly dedicated to what they see is their job of making America better. After they witness the apparent random shooting of a homeless Middle Eastern man, they decide to investigate the incident together, but for very different reasons. On this quest for the truth, their different views of the world collide radically and their journey reveals several sides of America and its reactions to the 9/11 attacks.

The disc arrives on October 10th with no supplements. The price will be $24.95.
