New Line Home Entertainment is getting ready to bow the Antonio Banderas film Take The Lead on DVD in August.

Inspired by a true story, Antonio Banderas stars as internationally acclaimed ballroom dancer Pierre Dulane in the energetic and moving film Take The Lead. When Dulane volunteers to teach dance in the New York public school system, his background first clashes with his students’ tastes…but together they create a completely new style of dance.

The release will feature an anamorphic widescreen presentation of the movie with a 5.1 channel Dolby Digital audio track. As extras you will find a Commentary Track on the disc, featuring director Liz Friedlander and editor Robert Ivison. Also included are 7 Deleted Scenes and 3 Behind-The-Dance Featurettes. The release is rounded out by a selection of trailers and music clips.

“Take The Lead” will hit the dance floor on August 29 for $28.98.
