The upcoming DVD release of the popular NBC sitcom My Name is Earl has added a new extra to the list. One that may be a DVD first. The season one box set will contain a DVD only episode. The cast and crew filmed an entire alternate pilot in which the characters went down very different paths, leading Earl not to right his past wrongs, but to seek vengeance on those who had crossed him. The alternate pilot is apparently, not entirely suitable for broadcast television.
